[BREAKING] Say it Isn’t So! Blake and Miranda are DIVORCING

It is a sad day in country music. Divorce is so impacting and effects so many. When your career includes fans and is very public, it makes it even harder to go through. What the hell happened to country's hottest couple?!

We just learned divorce papers were filed in Oklahoma awhile ago, and a judge is about to make this divorce final. Blake Shelton was the one who filed. A prenup was already signed so, thankfully, financial issues will hopefully be kept to a minimum.  After four years of marriage and falling in love back in 2005, this country dynasty is coming to an end.

While my heart breaks for them, I don't see anything totally abnormal about this. The divorce rate in this country is over 50% and chances are, someone or perhaps both of them, grew up, grew apart, grew in different directions. That happens in all relationships. Communication is always the most important thing. Not a promise of 'forever.' Forever, in my opinion, is not ours to promise.

I wish them both the very best and hope they heal and grieve (because grief is a major feeling in divorce) in the healthiest way possible and are able to remain friends. It's a great thing they had. Dr. Seuss said it best:“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”
