Happy 4th of July [PICS from Schweibert Park for Red, White and Boom]

In the celebration of FREEDOM, we had a 'free-to-do-whatever-we-want-to-do" sort of a day.

At my house, we slept in, ate whatever breakfast we wanted to, some wanted to watch a movie, another cleaned her room and I decided to lay out for a little bit. After a few cups of coffee and basking in sun, soaking up that Vitamin D, we decided to head to Schweibert Park in Rock Island for the kickoff of Red, White and Boom!

The park was already filled with music and families and fun things to do! Now, we're gearing up for where we want to to head for fireworks tonight! Check out the fun at Red, White and Boom with all the activities for the kiddos. There were a lot of food vendors and everything was super affordable.

The fun over in Davenport at Modern Woodmen Park started at 5 p.m. with FREE bounce house, face painting and more for the kiddos, as well as, their usual vendors open for everyone to enjoy food and drinks. Little Rascals will be shown on the jumbo-tron.

Fireworks from two barges in the Mississippi will light up the sky at 9:30 p.m. TONIGHT! Come down and join us!
