Fair season is in full swing in and around the Quad Cities and I have to admit, I can't get enough! Country music concerts are all around and that is where the rest of the fun happens. Guess who's coming to perform at the Jackson County Fair this Saturday?!

Montgomery Gentry will be with The Hawk at the Jackson County Fair in Maquoketa, IA.! I've got your tickets when you listen during the lunch hour with me all this week. But that is not the beginning of how Jackson County kicks things off. Check out this line up:

Jackson County Fair opening night is Wednesday night and starts with a parade at 6 p.m. followed by the Tuff N Nuff Rodeo at 8:30 p.m. Thursday is Kids Day with specials on carnival rides, kids pedal pull and stock car races at 6 p.m.

Friday is Senior Citizen's Day with flower shows, antique tractor displays, bingo and ice cream for seniors. At night, the sounds of the truck and tractor pull will fill the air. No one forgets those smells!

Saturday includes the Farm Bureau Kids Contest, State Fair Talent Search, Jammer Band at 8 p.m. and then country music fans from all over Iowa and Illinois will cram the grandstand for Montgomery Gentry, as they take the stage at 9 p.m.

Grab the kiddos and the family and we'll see you out at the Jackson County Fair this Saturday! Make sure you look  for The Hawk truck, tent and banners and what ever you do, stop on by and say "Hi!!" when you see us!
