OktoBEERfest in the Quad Cities Last Weekend [PHOTOS]

Downtown Davenport, IA. was alive this past weekend with authentic Oktoberfest music, food and a variety of beer!

I loved the band Reinischkogl Buam from Austria! Nothing says "authentic" like a band from Europe flying in to celebrate! They were on stage as hundreds gathered at Leclaire Park, with their souvenir Oktobeerfest mugs in-hand, ready to taste and try beer from some of the best distilleries in IA (and surrounding states).

Dieter Rebitzer from the Quad Cities dearly-loved and well-known German restaurant, Bier Stube, was on stage performing, dancing and finally came down for a hug, some conversation and great fun during the games many gathered around to participate in.

It only got more interesting as the day moved along. I love it when you meet some guy who wants to trade your hat for his sunglasses and when you ask him his name, he says, "Leaf" (it is spelled L-e-i-f though). Seriously! That was his name. I have no clue if he was German or not, but I couldn't say no to this most-interesting, fun pic... hat hair and all!
