UPDATE: PLAINFIELD, Il. — A small plane crashed into a residential neighborhood, causing damage to portions of one home and leaving debris in the nearby street.

In a press conference Thursday, the Joliet Fire Department said that the field tank ruptured on the plane when it hit the street, sparking a fire causing damage to one home.

According to the Federal Aviation Adminstration, the plane crashed at about 11:15 a.m. and that were no known injuries or deaths in the incident.

The crash happened in Plainfield, not nearby Joliet as originally thought.
