There's nothing wrong with letting your pet eat the leftovers off your plate this Thanksgiving, just make sure what they're eating won't harm them!

There are six common Thanksgiving foods that can be potentially dangerous for pets.

Eva Evans, a veterinarian from Pet's Best, provided a list of these harmful foods.

1. Pork Products: Foods like ham and other pork based delights can induce vomiting, diarrhea or even pancreatitis in pets.

2. Stuffing: Traditional stuffing, or "dressing", contains onions and garlic which are EXTREMELY toxic to dogs and cats!

3. Mashed Potatoes: Aside from the onions and garlic that may be found in potatoes, many animals are lactose intolerant.  So the butter and milk will most likely give your pet major digestive issues, including diarrhea.

4. Turkey Bones: Obviously, these can be a major choking risk.  But furthermore, they can splinter and cause damage to the stomach and intestines.  They can also give pets severe indigestion.

5. Salads w/Grapes or Raisins: Grapes are potentially DEADLY to pets.  So avoid giving them any of your Waldorf Salad or Ambrosia.

6. ChocolateThis is a given for any pet owner.  But be sure to remind any guests that aren't used to having pets around the house to avoid giving them anything with Chocolate in it!
