That's right...the beautiful light show that often eludes us in the QC could be visible from YOUR house late this evening!

According to WQAD Meteorologist James Zahara, a strong flare of energy-charged particles just shot away from the Sun a few days ago and now they've arrived to earth.

If that flare is strong enough it could bring the Northern Lights, which are only seen in northern Alaska and Canada, all the way down to the middle part of the United States.

If the skies are clear enough (the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies tonight) we could see the show around midnight.

So stay up late and cross your fingers, this is EXTREMELY rare!
